Meet The Owner

Love and a Leash LLC is a professional, licensed, and insured pet care team that loves what they do! They take pride in providing fun and reliable pet care that allows families to work and travel guilt and worry-free.
Meet the Owner, Lindsey Holt! Lindsey has always found joy in caring for animals. Growing up in East Tennessee, she cared for dogs, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, ducks, frogs, birds, fish, and a hedgehog! She graduated from East Tennessee State University and relocated to Charleston in 2012.
Lindsey is pet CPR and first aid certified and a member of the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters and ASPCA. She's been a proud volunteer foster mom to multiple dogs for a local rescue.
Lindsey's rescue dog, Delilah, is her smiley, four-legged sidekick. They enjoy exploring Charleston together and in their down time can be found visiting the local dog parks and beautiful beaches.

Meet Aimee

Aimee grew up with many animals in and outside of her home in upstate New York. Over the years she has owned dogs, cats, birds, small critters, fish, chickens and horses. Aimee knew early on at the age of 13 when she started her career in pet services to neighbors, shelters and local horse stables that this was her passion. Since this time she has continued to have jobs involving pets; from veterinary clinics, doggie-daycare, grooming, pet stores and offering in home services. She is a graduate of Ashford University.

Aimee relocated to Charleston in 2015 with her husband and household of "kids." She has 3 birds, Sky, Pastel and Kix, who are the singers of her family. Two rabbits, Buttons and Patches, whom love to chase the dogs outside. Her 4 cats, all but 1 whom were rescues. Echo, Alex, Dixie and Georgia, are her constant entertainment at home. Scamp and Chance, her two dogs, 1 rescue, keep her busy outside at dog parks, walks, playing ball and traveling with the family.

Meet Katie

Katie was raised in Michigan and has been an animal lover since childhood. At a young age her family introduced them to rescued cats, dogs, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and she plans to carry that into her own family! During high school, family friends would hire Katie to care for their pets while they were away. Katie and her husband just recently relocated to the Charleston area with their "fur baby" Vera in 2016 and have no plans to leave! Katie has moved frequently due to being a military spouse and finally can call Charleston her home. After working full time in retail and office work, she discovered independent animal care and this has become her number one priority and love. In her down time Katie will be relaxing on their patio, kicking the soccer ball around with Vera, or the family of three will be exploring beautiful downtown Charleston!
Katie is pet CPR and first aid certified. She is also an active supporter of local rescue organizations and a foster mom for pups in need

Meet Rebecca

Rebecca was born and raised in upstate New York and relocated to Charleston 20 years ago to escape the cold and snow.  She has been a Park Circle resident for the last 15 years with her husband and 11 year old son.  Rebecca is an animal lover and currently has two high energy dogs- a boxer, Pepper Potts, and a collie mix, Tony Stark and to round out the family, Jarvis, the hamster.  Yes, they are fans of Iron Man!

Rebecca loves the outdoors and the sunshine so what better way to spend her time than walking dogs.   The rest of her time you can find her gardening, beachcombing, reading a good book and hanging out with her family.  She enjoys traveling and discovering new places.

Rebecca is pet CPR and first aid certified.

Meet Jackson

Jackson was born and raised in South Carolina and has recently moved down to the Charleston area with his brother. From growing up with multiple dogs in the house to talking care of family members' animals, Jackson has always loved playing and being around animals! Sadly Jackson had to leave his dog "Chronz" back at home with his parents when he moved, so he is more then excited to take care of the local animals around him. Jackson is a very active person from coaching members at the gym to being out at the beach with his friends.

Jackson will be Pet CPR and First Aid Certified by the end of October 2018.
